Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster 3 that hit cinemas last Friday
has sunk without a trace. The film’s execution has been messy and there is
little-to-no flow in the screenplay. The inside story is that perhaps director
Tigmanshu Dhulia’s soft corner for Mahie Gill did the damage.

For starters, Chitrangda and Sanju’s intimate scene was
chopped off at the edit table. Secondly, imagine something as crucial as
Chitrangda’s death scene in the film, had no dialogue. It’s shown rather
casually, as part of a song. Thirdly, the Inkaar actress’ introductory scene
was also very hurriedly shot. Fourthly, and perhaps most importantly, there was
originally a scene which explained Kabir Bedi and Deepak Tijori’s resentment to
accept Chitrangda as Dutt’s partner, but that was also scissored from the
film.
It is clear from the movie that Mahie’s character is calling the shots – left, write and centre. Naturally, Dutt and Chitrangda are not amused. FYI, Dutt did not attend the Thursday screening of Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster 3 --- and you now know why.
